General
The best way to get a wig from me is to check my schedule. If my schedule is open and there are enough hours open for the wig you want, you can just email me to place your order, including what payment type you wish to use. Once I receive your email, I will send you back a confirmation with a paypal invoice if you are paying by paypal, and my address if you are sending a check or money order. Should the wig you want be over the hours I have available, email me and see if I can take it anyway (assuming it is still two months before the due date). The reason I say this is I am only allotting 40 hours per month to wigs (approximately 10 hours per week), because I am a full time student. However, different months have different priorities, so I may be able to take a couple of more commissions, depending on how many more hours there are.
However, this is all assuming the wig you want has a quote associated with it. The quotes listed there are only representative of the quote requests I have received, and as such, is not complete. If the quote is not listed, please email me for a quote request. I usually reply back within 2-3 days.
When requesting a quote for a character that is not in my database, please include the following information:
1.)The name of the character and the series the character is from.
2.)The date the commission would be needed by. Not when you would like to have it by, but the date you need it by. If you really would like it by a certain time, please note that. "I need it by XX-XXXX, but would like to have it, if possible by XX-XXXX." I will let you know if this is possible and if it is, I will do everything in my power to make that possible!
3.)Reference Pictures - This will speed up how quickly you will get your quote, as it saves me time because I don't have to search everywhere for my own references.
4.)Any alterations you would like (Length, color, with accessories, without accessories).
Allowing Time
Please note that I require at LEAST two months notice to make your wig. This is because I do not keep materials on hand. I have to order them and sometimes, they can take up to one month for me to receive them. I cannot make them come in any sooner.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I TAKE RUSH ORDERS. So please do not email me asking me to make an exception for you. This is not fair to my other customers, who followed the rules and got their orders in within the time limit. It is also not fair to me, because you are asking me to rush and stress myself out.
If you want a custom wig commission in a month, I'm sorry, but it is absolutey not going to happen.
Accessory commissions, however, can be made with one month's notice, though I prefer to have more. This is because I have the materials on hand, or if I don't, I don't have to special order them.
I take several forms of payment, including Paypal, money order, and personal check. I absolutely will not accept ANY concealed cash. The reason for this is that concealed cash is just a problem waiting to happen, as there's a huge possibility that it can be stolen before it even gets to me and I don't want either of us to have to deal with that.
Please note that with paypal, I do charge a fee. This is because when I receive any payment through Paypal, regardless of whether or not it's a credit card or bank payment, they charge me a fee, which is usually a percentage of the total payment.
Payment Plan
- I am now offering a payment plan to those of you whose orders total over $150. I had been hesitant to do this before, and I had made a few exceptions, but now I am extending that option to everyone.
This is how the payment plan works. I need the materials and custom coloring fee (if applicable upfront). The second payment will consist of the total amount from the shipping and styling costs. This second payment MUST be made NO LATER than two weeks before your due date.
If you do not send the second payment, I will absolutely, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES, mail your wig out!
If doing the payment plan, you will have to read over and sign a contract, acknowledging that you understand and agree to abide by the rules under it. This protects both of us.
Cosplay trades are not acceptable forms of payment. Yes, I do cosplay from time to time, but truthfully, I need the money. I do want to help everyone get a good, quality wig, but I cannot do so at my own expense. Trades, unfortunately, do not pay for rent, car expenses, groceries, etc. So, please do not even ask.
Contracts
Contracts are required to be read over and signed for EVERY commission, no exceptions. Even if payment is received, if the contract is not received, work will not be started. If the contract is not received a week after payment, your payment will be refunded, and your wig will not be commissioned. The contract is required to keep both parties safe and aware of their rights and the guidelines that should be followed, that way, in case some situation should arise, the customer cannot say "well, I didn't know that!"
Other
If you do not like the quote request I give you, or cannot afford it, please do not reply back and say something along the lines of "Thanks for your quote, but I think it's way too high, so can you tell me where to get the materials and exactly how to do it myself?" If you don't want to pay for my work, then I am not going to tell you how to do it step by step. I will give you general advice, because I understand how it can be (living is expensive, and so are hobbies, no matter what hobby you're in), but do NOT expect me to sit down and give you MY time for free. Also, do not repy back and say something like "Well, this price is too steep, will you cut me a deal?!" or "WILL IT REALLY TAKE YOU X AMOUNT OF HOURS TO DO THIS?!" All of these things are THE worst insults you can EVER give to any commissioner.
I try to charge a fair price to my customers, and I certainly don't like feeling like someone else is trying to take advantage of me (Heck, NO ONE likes that!). Likewise, please don't feel like I am trying to take advantage of you. My prices are broken down so you see EXACTLY what you are paying for. I only use high quality materials for my wigs and extensions, and absolutely will not waste your time or mine by using lower quality materials. You see how many hours it takes (approximately) for me to style. If it's on there as 9 hours, it takes me 9 hours, at least. Nine times out of ten, I actually end up taking more time to work on a wig than I actually charge. Somtimes, I use less. If this happens, I adjust my hours on the quote page accordingly and refund the money.
As for charging $9 an hour, I feel that this is a fair price for me, because I'm offering a specialty service. I like what I do, but if I make nothing from it, I can't continue doing it, because I *do* have bills to pay. I worked previously in a retail store and got $8.25 an hour, for something that isn't even that difficult. I'm also a full-time college student, which makes my time that much more valuable.
